英國的殘疾旅客乘客援助系統無障礙技術公司Transreport近期公告完成募集1,200萬美元的A輪融資，由由Puma Private Equity領投，Pembroke VCT跟投，本輪資金將讓Transreport從與火車行業合作，拓展到航空行業。
目前全球範圍內的無障礙公司，大體是以提供C端用戶服務為主，比如旅遊行業有很多公司，以平台的形式提供客戶出行產品清單(住宿、餐廳)，並註明產品清單中的無障礙設施；也有公司提供對C端用戶的接送與打包旅行。Transreport的做法是將所謂的"乘客援助(Passenger Assistance)"工具同時佈建在B端的公共交通領域運營商與C端用戶，在B端運營商安裝系統後，C端用戶通過Transreport的APP能更簡單的將個人資料與無障礙援助需求提供給交通運營商，簡化需求傳遞的流程與時間，有效降低殘疾者和老年人的出行難度，目前英國鐵路公司Rail Delivery Group就是其主要客戶。
根據WHO在2022年的統計，全球有13億人(或全球六分之一的人)患有嚴重殘疾。WHO所定義的殘疾，是指癡呆、失明或脊髓損傷等健康狀況與環境/個人因素相互作用產生的結果。殘疾人群患抑鬱症、哮喘、糖尿病、中風、肥胖症等健康狀況不佳的風險是一般人的2倍，殘疾人進入衛生設施的難度是一般人的6倍，殘疾人發現、使用交通工具比一般人困難15倍，這些事實降低了殘疾者的出行意願。聯合國相關組織有提出”國際人權法”與”殘疾人權利公約”，但並非每個國家都參與締約，做為社會責任的一環，它在全世界的推進顯然比ESG、碳排放慢，但這不妨礙它成為一個廣大的市場，特別是按其定義，殘疾者還不包括健康的老人。海擇資本認為，在東亞國家快速走入老年化的現在，除了Transreport之外，應該仍會有很多好的創業項目值得關注與投資。

UK-based accessible technology company Transreport, specializing in passenger assistance systems for disabled travelers, recently announced the completion of a $12 million Series A funding round. The round was led by Puma Private Equity with follow-on investment from Pembroke VCT. The funds will enable Transreport to expand from collaborations with the rail industry to the aviation sector.
Globally, accessibility-focused companies primarily serve end-users, such as in the travel industry where many offer platforms listing travel products (accommodations, restaurants) with accessible facilities highlighted. Some companies also provide transportation and packaged trips for end-users. Transreport differentiates itself by deploying its "Passenger Assistance" tools to both B2B public transport operators and B2C end-users. After operators install Transreport's system, end-users can easily provide their personal details and accessibility needs to transport operators via Transreport's app, streamlining the process and time required to communicate needs. This significantly reduces the travel difficulties for disabled and elderly individuals. The Rail Delivery Group in the UK is a major client of Transreport.
According to WHO statistics from 2022, 1.3 billion people worldwide (or one-sixth of the global population) suffer from severe disabilities. The WHO defines disability as a result of the interaction between health conditions such as dementia, blindness, or spinal cord injury and environmental/personal factors. People with disabilities are twice as likely to suffer from health issues like depression, asthma, diabetes, stroke, and obesity. They face six times more difficulty accessing healthcare facilities and fifteen times more difficulty in finding and using transportation compared to others, reducing their willingness to travel. Although the United Nations has proposed the "International Human Rights Law" and the "Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities," not every country has joined these agreements. As part of social responsibility, the promotion of these rights globally is slower compared to ESG and carbon emissions efforts, but this does not hinder its potential as a vast market, especially since the definition of disability does not include healthy elderly people. Haize Capital believes that, with East Asian countries rapidly aging, there should still be many promising startups worth attention and investment like Transreport.

WHO는 장애를 치매, 실명 또는 척수 손상과 같은 건강 상태와 환경/개인적 요인의 상호작용에 의한 결과로 정의한다. 장애인은 정상인보다 우울증, 천식, 당뇨병, 뇌졸중, 비만 등 건강 문제에 걸릴 가능성이 2배나 높다. 다른 사람에 비해 장애인들은 의료보건시설을 얻는 데 일반인의 6배에 달하는 어려움을 겪고 있다. 교통수단을 찾고 이용하는 데 일반인보다 15배나 많은 어려움을 겪고 있다. 이러한 어려움은 그들의 여행 의지를 떨어뜨렸다. 유엔이 '국제인권법'과 '장애인권리협약'을 발의했지만, 모든 국가가 참가해 이를 체결하는 것은 아니다. 사회적 책임의 일환으로 ESG 및 탄소 배출을 추진하는 것보다 전 세계적으로 이러한 권리를 촉진하는 속도가 훨씬 느리다. 그러나 이것은 거대한 시장으로서의 잠재력을 방해하지 않는다. 특히 장애인의 정의에는 건강한 노인이 포함되지 않기 때문이다. 하이저 캐피털은 동아시아 국가들의 급속한 고령화에 따라 Transreport뿐만 아니라 여전히 전망이 좋은 많은 스타트업들이 주목하고 투자할 가치가 있을 것이라고 생각한다.
