國際網約車服務公司inDrive此前公告從General Catalyst融資1.5億美元，資金將用於行銷與用戶獲取/留存；General Catalyst此前於2021年也參與了由Insight Partners領投inDrive的1.5億美元C輪融資。

雖然海擇資本將inDrive歸類為網約車公司，但inDrive更喜歡將自己定位為全球行動和城市服務平台(global mobility and urban services platform)。inDrive總部位於美國加州山景城(Mountain View)，目前下載量超過2億次，在全球超過47個國家所屬的700個城市運營；根據data.ai(原App Annie)數據，inDrive的下載量在2021年從4,260萬次攀升至2022年的6,180萬次，YoY增速達45%，2023年在全球旅行類APP下載量中排名第四。

inDrive強調創業的初心在於維護正義(an exercise of justice)與公平透明，原因是創辦人Arsen Tomsky在2021年除夕夜時，在俄羅斯薩哈共和國的首都雅庫茨克(Yakutsk)看到計程車公司串連加價的不正當行為，因此決定創辦符合公義要求的APP。與Uber(NYSE: UBER)及Grab(NASDAQ: GRAB)不同的是，inDrive的載客價格由司機及乘客雙方直接議定，而非由系統算法提供；目前inDrive的產品線也從客運和配送，拓展到貨運、雜工服務、求職和團購服務。

inDrive的網約車事業目前在國際化已小有成就，特別是美洲，另外在亞洲的印尼與馬來西亞也有不錯的影響力。海擇資本認為，它的存在與融資也證明了，即便Uber在全球的拓展已如風行草偃，但只要是有利可圖的市場，就永遠有新的競爭業者能冒出。

Ride-hailing company inDrive earlier announced a $150 million funding round from General Catalyst, aimed at marketing and user acquisition/retention. General Catalyst had also participated in inDrive's $150 million Series C funding round in 2021, led by Insight Partners.

Although categorized as a ride-hailing company by Haize Capital, inDrive prefers to identify itself as a global mobility and urban services platform. Based in Mountain View, California, inDrive has been downloaded more than 200 million times and operates in 700 cities across 47 countries. According to data.ai (formerly App Annie), inDrive's downloads increased from 42.6 million in 2021 to 61.8 million in 2022, a 45% YoY growth, ranking fourth globally in travel app downloads in 2023.

inDrive emphasizes that its founding was an exercise of justice and transparency, inspired by founder Arsen Tomsky's experience on New Year's Eve 2021 in Yakutsk, the capital of Russia's Sakha Republic. He witnessed taxi companies colluding to raise prices unfairly, prompting him to create a just app. Unlike Uber (NYSE: UBER) and Grab (NASDAQ: GRAB), inDrive allows drivers and passengers to negotiate fares directly, rather than relying on an algorithm. inDrive has expanded its services from passenger transport and delivery to include freight, handyman services, job searching, and group buying.

inDrive has achieved notable international success, particularly in the Americas, and has a significant presence in Indonesia and Malaysia in Asia. Haize Capital notes that its existence and funding demonstrate that new competitors can always emerge in profitable markets, despite Uber's global expansion.
