戲劇演娛成為韓國當地玩樂重要品類
Drama and entertainment have become an important category of local activities in Korea

韓國的當地玩樂領域,雖然總產品數(SKU)不如鄰國日本眾多,但是若單論戲劇演娛品類,其細分產品線的品類與產品數其實比日本還具有代表性,從朝聖戲劇景點、表演到演唱會,甚至近年BTS(防彈少年團, Bangtan Sonyeon Dan)還上升到外交的層次,成為能帶動旅遊GDP的品類。能做到如此規模的其中一個原因,海擇資本認為在於戲劇演娛品類能在資本領域得到發展。


近期韓媒熱議的主題之一,就是在韓國科斯達克上市的戲劇製作公司"來夢來人(RaemongRaein, 래몽래인, KOSDAQ: 200350)"的市值今年不斷創下新高。來夢來人在增資時取得了韓國史上最年輕的青龍獎影帝李政宰(近年知名作品為"魷魚遊戲"及大數據行銷公司Wider Planet(KOSDAQ: 321820)的資金,其中李政宰購買了約50萬股,Wider Planet則購買181萬股。


如同來夢來人這類公司對行業從量變造成質變,在通過市場融資取得資金後,也會通過對IP(智慧財產權)的購買、合作與影視化增加優秀的作品素材並吸收粉絲群,可以說更強化了護城河。熱門網路漫畫和網路小說所擁有忠實粉絲群,能轉化為電視劇的收視率,因為原作的粉絲希望在另一種形式看到作品與角色;反之亦然,據Naver Webtoon的數據,許多網路漫畫改編成電視劇後,原作的總銷量都能增加10倍以上的銷售值,從近期的"殺手悖論(살인자o난감)"、"異能(무빙)"、"金字塔遊戲(피라미드게임)"、"请和我的老公结婚(내남편과결혼해줘)",這個邏輯印證了多次。


資本與競爭力結合為正向螺旋,讓韓國的戲劇演娛行業更具競爭力。過去韓國的戲劇演娛行業很像日本漫畫市場,亦即少數的行業專家能有著千萬美金量級的年收入,但是未能躍至頂流的大多數人群,只能擁有比溫飽稍好的收入,而韓國戲劇演娛產業在資本化後,已上升到具有國家戰略價值的高競爭力行業,其中製作公司與韓國創投間的融資合作過程,值得作為借鑑。

In South Korea's local activity sector, although the total amount of SKUs is not as high as in neighboring Japan, when focusing solely on drama and entertainment, South Korea's product lines and quantities are actually more representative than Japan's. This includes pilgrimage to drama locations, performances, and concerts. In recent years, BTS (Bangtan Sonyeon Dan) has even elevated to the level of diplomacy, becoming a driver of tourism GDP. Haize Capital believes one reason for this scale is that the drama and entertainment category has room to grow in the capital market.


One of the hot topics recently discussed by the Korean media is the continuously rising market value of the KOSDAQ-listed drama production company "RaemongRaein (래몽래인, KOSDAQ: 200350)." During its capital increase, RaemongRaein secured funds from the youngest Blue Dragon Film Award-winning actor in Korean history, Lee Jung-jae (star of "Squid Game"), and the big data marketing firm Wider Planet (KOSDAQ: 321820). Lee Jung-jae purchased about 500,000 shares, while Wider Planet bought 1.81 million shares.


Like companies such as RaemongRaein, the industry undergoes a qualitative change from quantitative growth, especially after acquiring funds through market financing. This includes purchasing intellectual property (IP), collaborations, and adapting IPs for film and TV, which not only provides excellent material but also attracts fan bases, thereby strengthening their moats. Popular webcomics and novels have loyal fan bases that can translate into TV viewership because fans want to see their favorite characters and stories in different formats. Conversely, according to Naver Webtoon data, many webcomics adapted into TV dramas see over a tenfold increase in original sales, evidenced by recent titles like "A Killer Paradox(살인자o난감)," "Moving(무빙)," "Pyramid Game(피라미드게임)," and "Marry My Husband(내남편과결혼해줘)."


The synergy between capital and competitiveness creates a positive spiral, making South Korea's drama and entertainment industry more competitive. Previously, like Japan's manga market, only a few industry experts in Korea could earn millions of dollars annually, while the majority had incomes slightly better than subsistence level. However, with capitalization, South Korea's drama and entertainment industry has evolved into a highly competitive sector of national strategic value. The financing collaborations between production companies and Korean venture capital are exemplary.
