海擇短評 Haize Comment：
近期BBC新聞談到旅遊行業出現大量詐騙活動，具體現象是詐騙集團利用假冒的社交媒體帳號，冒充航空公司、飯店、旅遊公司，這些帳號被用以誘騙客戶洩露個人資料，進而引導他們進入釣魚網站詐騙信用卡資訊。BBC舉的範例之一是，詐騙集團在X(前Twitter)上註冊了以各大航空公司為名的帳號，並使用聊天機器人爬蟲與社交媒體用戶互動；聊天機器人不但回覆的文字表述與官方機器人類似，會對帶來的不便表示歉意，並表示已經將資訊回報給相關部門，同時也將用戶引導到詐騙集團設立的WhatsApp號碼做進一步處理。
那麼，詐騙既然如此猖獗，反詐騙的創業會是個機會嗎？就像過去電腦病毒猖獗，曾帶起了趨勢科技與Symantec這類公司一般。
其實，第一時間判斷某個企業發給你的資訊是否是詐騙資訊，大致有幾個萬變不離其宗的對應方式，比如檢查寄件者地址、檢查官方URL、直接與官方聯繫驗證，至於社交工程(Social Engineering)式的攻擊，只能通過教育訓練提高警覺處理。至於創建一個能夠自動識別和預防詐騙資訊的平台或工具，海擇資本的觀點是，目前這個領域已經有很多不同規模的企業提供產品/服務，常見的是從即時監控/警報、多層身份驗證、用戶教育和培訓做起，看起來這是一個典型看似潛在市場大，但是競爭激烈，收費極其困難的行業。
如果有一天，有一個工具或平台是全世界詐騙集團必先仿製或破解的工具/平台，那它就是個極成功的創業公司了。

A recent BBC report highlighted a surge in scams within the travel industry, where fraud groups use fake social media accounts pretending to be airlines, hotels, and travel companies. These accounts lure customers into divulging personal information and lead them to phishing sites for credit card details. One example given was fraudsters registering major airline names on X (formerly Twitter), interacting with users through chatbots that mimic official bots, apologizing for inconveniences, claiming to report the information to relevant departments, and directing users to a WhatsApp number set up by the scammers for further handling.
Given the rampant nature of these scams, could starting an anti-fraud enterprise represent an opportunity, similar to how the prevalence of computer viruses led to the rise of companies like Trend Micro and Symantec?
In fact, there are several ways to initially determine if information sent from a business is fraudulent, such as checking the sender's address, verifying the official URL, and directly contacting the organization for confirmation. As for attacks using social engineering, raising awareness through education and training is key. Regarding the creation of a platform or tool that can automatically identify and prevent fraudulent information, Haize Capital believes that this area already has many enterprises of varying sizes offering products/services. Common approaches include real-time monitoring/alerts, multi-factor authentication, and user education and training. It appears to be a market with seemingly large potential but fierce competition and significant challenges in monetization.
If one day there is a tool or platform that every fraud group in the world must replicate or crack, that would signify a tremendously successful startup.
