Moderna的CEO Stéphane Bancel近期對外表示，隨著疫苗產量供過於求，COVID-19很有可能在一年內結束。Pfizer的董事長兼CEO Albert Bourla隨後在9/16也說到了相同的觀點，時間一樣是壓在一年後。
如同我們此前在觀點提到的，跟據國際製藥商公會的疫苗出貨數據，疫苗供過於求現象在8月已達3億劑，2021年底將超過12億劑。考慮到疫苗有保存期限，已開發國家所購買的疫苗，如果國家公民不願意施打，在2022後應會有大量捐助未開發及開發中國家，這也是WHO所建立的COVAX系統真正發揮效用的時間點。
不過我們其實還好奇一件事，疫情如果結束，疫苗也就鳥盡弓藏。Moderna CEO在說出這個高度影響公司疫苗未來銷售量的觀點之前，公司IR不會拉住要他不要說話嗎：）

Moderna의 CEO Stéphane Bancel은 최근 COVID-19는 백신 공급이 수요를 초과함에 따라 1년 내에 끝날 것이라고 밝혔다. Pfizer의 회장 겸 CEO Albert Bourla도 9월16일에 같은 말을 했는데, 그가 예측한 시점은 1년 후다.
앞서 언급했듯이, 국제약업단체연합회(IFPMA)의 백신 출하 데이터에 따르면, 백신 공급 과잉 현상은 8월에 3억 도스에 달했고, 2021년 말에는 12억 도스를 넘어설 것이다. 구입한 백신이 보존 기간을 감안할 때 선진국 국민들이 백신 접종을 원하지 않을 경우 2022년에 이후남아도는 대량 백신은 미개발 및 개발 도상국에 지원될 것이다. 이것도 WHO가 설립한 COVAX 시스템이 제대로 효용을 발휘한 시점이다.
하지만 한가지 더 궁금한 것이 있다. 만약에 코로나 19가 사라지면 백신이 그 힘을 발휘할 여지가 없다. Moderna의 CEO가 회사의 미래 백신 판매에 큰 영향을 미칠 견해을 말할 때까지, 회사의 IR는 정말 이견이 없는가?

Moderna CEOのStephane Bancelは最近、ワクチン生産量が供給過剰になるとともに、COVID-19は1年以内に終息する可能性が高いと言えた。Pfizer社の会長兼CEOであるAlbert Bourla氏は9月16日、同様の観点を示し、コロナが終息する時点も1年後だと述べた。
以前に「海擇觀點」で述べたように、国際製薬団体連合会（IFPMA）が発表したワクチン出荷数データによると、余剰ワクチンが8月時点で3億回分を超え、2021年末には12回分を超えるという。ワクチンの保存期間を考えると、先進国が購入したワクチンを国民が接種したくなければ、2022年以降には大量のワクチンが貧困国や開発途上国に寄付され、WHOが主導した「COVAX」は本格的に役立つする。
しかし、もう一つ気になることがある。コロナが終息すれば、ワクチンは「 鳥がいなくなると弓はしまわれる」という状況に陥ってしまう。ModernaのCEOは、自社のワクチンの将来の販売量に大きな影響を与えるという観点を述べる前に、自社のIR部門はなぜ彼を止めなかったのか。

Moderna's CEO Stéphane Bancel recently stated that with the oversupply of vaccine production, COVID-19 is very likely to end within a year. Albert Bourla, chairman and CEO of Pfizer, also shared the similar point on Sep.16 that the time point is one year later.
As we mentioned in Haize Comment previously, according to the IFPMA, the oversupply of vaccine occurred on August with the production of 300 million doses and that will exceed 1.2 billion doses by the end of 2021. Giving that the storage life of vaccine , if the citizens of the developed country are not willing to administer it, there should be a large amount of donations to undeveloped and developing countries after 2022. This is also the point in time when the WHO-established COVAX system is truly effective.
However we are still wondering that what would happen to vaccine(producer) if the pandemic was over? Did the company's IR really had no opinion before the CEO of Moderna released his opinion that would highly affects the company's future sales of vaccines?
