據日本觀光廳發布的住宿旅遊統計調查顯示，2021年7月的日本本國住宿客人總數比上年同期增長30%，比2019年同期下降27%。人數的絕對值達到3,070萬人，是2020年11月以來的高點。

以2019年數據來看，外國住宿客人總數約佔整體的20%。日本當前基於內需產生的住宿客人數尚不及2019同期，更別說回補外國客人因疫情不赴日的缺口，這可能與因疫情而持續的緊急事態宣言有關

일본 관광청이 발표한 숙박 관광 통계 조사에 따르면, 2021년 7월 일본 자국 숙박객 총수는 전년 동기 대비 30% 증가, 2019년 동기 대비 27% 감소하였다. 숙박객의 수가 3,070만명에 달하여 2020년 11월 이래 최고치에 달하였다.

2019년의 데이터를 보면 외국인 투숙객의 수는 전체의 약 20%를 차지한다. 일본은 현재 내수로 인한 숙박객의 수가 2019년 같은 시기에도 미치지 못하고 있다. 코로나 19 때문에 일본에 가지 못하는 외국손님의 빈자리를 메운다는 것은 더 말할 나위도 없다. 코로나 19로 인해 계속되고 있는 비상사태 선언과 관련있는 것으로 보인다.

日本政府観光局が発表した宿泊旅行統計調査によると、2021年7月の国内延べ宿泊者数は前年同期比30%増、2019年同期比では27%減となった。宿泊者数は3,070万人と、2020年11月以来の高水準を記録した。

2019年のデータを見ると、外国人延べ宿泊者数が全体の約20%を占めている。現在、内需による宿泊者数はまだ2019年同期に及ばず、ましてコロナによる訪日外国人旅行者数の減少を補うこともできない。コロナに伴う緊急事態宣言が続いていることが関係しているのかもしれない。

According to the accommodation survey released by the Japan Tourism Agency, the total number of Japan domestic accommodation guests in July 2021 increased by 30% YOY and decreased by 27% compared to the same period of 2019. The absolute number of guests reached 30.7 million, which is the highest since November 2020.

Based on the accommodation data of 2019, foreign guests accounted for about 20% of the total. The current number of Japan domestic accommodation guests that generated by domestic demand  is not as high as that of the same period in 2019, let alone to fill the deficiency gap of foreign guests due to the pandemic. This may be associated with the continuing coronavirus-related state of emergency.
