馬斯克真是永遠自帶流量的男人，不僅幾乎Twitter每次開除員工都可以上新聞，連Twitter拖欠供應商費用也能上新聞；當然這也與他的才能有關，從Tesla、Starlink、SpaceX到Open AI，可以說影響世界運作甚至地緣政治平衡的科技創新，他確實每役必與。
近期馬斯克在生成式AI的投入又出了一則新聞－馬斯克覺得當前Open AI旗下的ChatGPT受到的各種限制太大，因此決定自起爐灶成立新的研究室，開發ChatGPT的替代品。
最近幾個月，馬斯克一再批評OpenAI過度保護ChatGPT，給ChatGPT過多不必要的限制，影響了人工智能進化；他在Twitter上的一些評論也常顯示ChatGPT的競爭對手對技術的限制更少。馬斯克提供了一個與ChatGPT的對話截圖做為範例，大意是微軟的BingGPT拒絕以美國脫口秀表演家Dave Chappelle帶有嘲諷的風格講笑話，BingGPT表示，“幽默應該有趣和包容，而不是傷害和分裂(Humor should be fun and inclusive, not hurtful and divisive)”；馬斯克並在Twitter上說明：“我們需要的是TruthGPT(What we need is TruthGPT)"。
考慮到馬斯克在部分媒體的仇恨值，他的新投資被渲染得像是打開潘朵拉之箱也不奇怪。但是，當前的ChatGPT技術確實在真實性上有著缺陷，華頓商學院教授Ethan Mollick在要求學生使用ChatGPT做報告時，給的原則之一就是"不要相信ChatGPT給你的數據或事實，除非你知道答案或是有能力核實(Don't trust anything it says. If it gives you a number or fact, assume it is wrong unless you either know the answer or check in with another source)"。從這個角度來看，不能說馬斯克一定是在做觸犯禁忌的錯事，他的目標之一，可能真的只是在提高GPT模型的推理能力，確保其反應更可靠與值得信賴。

The recent news about Musk's investment in generative AI - Musk felt that the current ChatGPT under Open AI has too many various restrictions, so he decided to set up a new research lab to develop an alternative to ChatGPT.
In recent months, Musk has repeatedly criticized OpenAI for being overly protective of ChatGPT and for giving ChatGPT too many unnecessary restrictions that have affected AI evolution; some of his comments on Twitter have also suggested that ChatGPT's competitors are less restrictive of the technology. Musk earlier this month responded to a screenshot of Microsoft’s chatbot refusing to tell a joke in the style of comedian Dave Chapelle because “humor should be fun and inclusive, not hurtful and divisive.” Musk tweeted: “What we need is TruthGPT.”
Considering Musk's image in some media, it is not surprising that his new investment is being portrayed as "opening Pandora's box". However, the current ChatGPT technology does have flaws in truthfulness, and one of the principles Ethan Mollick, a professor at Wharton School of Business, gives when asking students to use ChatGPT for presentations is "Don't trust anything it says, If it gives you a number or fact, assume it is wrong unless you either know the answer or check in with another source". From this perspective, we can't say that Musk is doing something wrong. One of his goals may really be to improve the reasoning ability of the GPT model to ensure that its responses are more reliable and trustworthy.
