近期名為Ixigo的印度OTA，其聯合創始人兼集團首席產品暨技術官Rajnish Kumar接受採訪，談到了印度的技術發展現況與對公司技術布局的思考，我們認為具有啟發性。海擇資本節錄Kumar的部分觀點於下供各位做為參考：
1. 關於印度移動設備發展現況：在印度，手機成為重要性遠超過桌上/筆記型電腦的預訂平台，因為印度只有極少數人擁有筆記本電腦。印度人幾乎能在手機上做任何事，所以印度與歐美相比，有了飛越式發展。...未來在旅途中，我們會看到越來越多的人用手機在目的地選擇玩樂產品、、生活服務，甚至是換匯。
2. 關於投入區塊鏈的思考：Kumar不會選擇在區塊鏈上下很大的賭注，原因很簡單，如果考慮投資報酬率，把資源放在ChatGPT或大型語言模型上會更有效益。生成式AI是非常重要的領域，在這個領域有很多事要做，也能產生足夠的回報。
3. 關於生成式AI在Ixigo的具體應用：印度的火車通常不準點，而且規模龐大...，Ixigo在通過技術手段定位火車後，還會預測它到達最終目的地後會發生什麼情況。比如用戶所購買的火車班次在某個車站晚點一個小時，乘客會想知道它是会赶上还是会进一步延误，因此以AI建立預測技術很重要...而Ixigo在下一階段的做法是將這些預測模型進行變現，例如Ixigo Flex和Ixigo Assured。如今，這些預測模型都能用生成式AI強化。
此外，生成式AI也改變了僱用工程師與完成系統開發的成本。過去100個工程師才能完成的系統開發，現在只要10到15個使用ChatGPT或Copilot的工程師就能做到。在過去幾十年裡，僱用工程師的成本呈指數級增長，這讓系統開發的成本也居高不下，隨著生成式AI的演進，系統開發的成本將會出現下降。這也會讓競爭者更容易出現，所以Ixigo必須能使用生成式AI技術來創造顛覆而不被顛覆。

Recently, Rajnish Kumar, the co-founder and group chief product and technology officer of an Indian OTA named Ixigo, was interviewed, discussing the current scenario of India's technology development and his thoughts on the company's tech layout. We believe this to be insightful. Haize Capital has excerpted some of Kumar's views below for your reference:
1. Regarding mobile: In India, smartphones have become a booking platform of much greater importance than desktops/laptops, as very few people in India own laptops. Indians can do almost anything mobile, so compared to Europe and America, India has experienced a leapfrogging development... In the future, during trips, we will see more and more people using their smartphones to choose activities, lifestyle services, and even currency exchange.
2. About blockchain: Kumar would not place large bets on blockchain. The reason is simple: if considering return on investment, allocating resources to ChatGPT or large language models would be more beneficial. Generative AI is a very important field; there is much to be done in this area, and it can generate sufficient returns.
3. The specific application of generative AI in Ixigo: Indian trains are often not punctual, and their scale is huge. After Ixigo locates trains through technical means, it also predicts what will happen when they reach their final destinations. For example, if a user's purchased train is delayed by an hour at a certain station, the passenger needs to know if it will catch up or get delayed further. Therefore, establishing prediction technology with AI is crucial. The next step for Ixigo is to monetize these prediction models, such as Ixigo Flex and Ixigo Assured. Nowadays, these prediction models can be enhanced with generative AI.
In addition, generative AI has also changed the cost of hiring engineers and completing system development. A system development that required 100 engineers in the past can now be accomplished by just 10 to 15 engineers using ChatGPT or Copilot. Over the past few decades, the cost of hiring engineers has grown exponentially, keeping system development costs high. As generative AI evolves, the cost of system development will decrease. This will also make it easier for competitors to emerge, so Ixigo must be able to use generative AI technology to create disruption rather than being disrupted.

Ixigo는 기술적 수단을 통해 열차를 위치시킨 후 열차가 최종 목적지에 도착하면 어떤 일이 일어날지 예측할 수도 있다. 예를 들어, 사용자가 구입한 기차가 어느 역에서 한 시간 지연되면 승객은 열차가 제때에 도착할 수 있는지 아니면 더욱 지연될 것인지 알고 싶어한다. 따라서 인공지능을 이용한 예측 기술 구축이 중요하다. Ixigo의 다음 단계는 Ixigo Flex 및 Ixigo Assured와 같은 이러한 예측 모델을 통화화하는 것이다. 이제 이러한 예측 모델은 생성식 인공지능을 통해 강화될 수 있다.
또한 생성식 인공지능은 엔지니어 고용과 시스템 개발의 원가도 바꿨다. 과거에는 100명의 엔지니어가 있어야 개발이 가능했던 시스템을 이제는 10~15명의 엔지니어가 ChatGPT나 Copilot을 이용하면 된다. 지난 수십년 동안 엔지니어를 고용하는 비용이 기하급수적으로 증가하여 시스템 개발 비용이 고공행진을 계속하고 있다. 생성식 인공지능의 발전에 따라 시스템 개발의 원가가 낮아질 것이다. 경쟁자가 더 쉽게 나타날 수 있기 때문에 Ixigo는 전복되는 것이 아니라 생성식 인공지능 기술을 사용하여 전복을 창조할 수 있어야 한다.
