韓國發布5月出入境數據：出境旅遊優於入境

韓國旅遊發展局(Korea Tourism Organization)近期公告5月韓國出入境數據，在出入境總人數創疫情以來新高的背後，出境大於入境、暑期旅遊看好、日本仍為最重要目的地等三大主要趨勢也蔚然成形。海擇資本歸納主要觀點如下：

1. 出境大於入境：韓國5月份出境旅遊人數為168萬人次，較4月增長12.4%，接近1月和2月的旺季(178萬人次、172萬人次)；而外國入境人數為87萬人次，約為出境人數的52%，較上月(89萬人次)略有下降。而赴韓外國遊客中，前三大分別為日本、中國與美國，遊客數分別達18萬人次、12萬人次與10萬人次。

2. 暑期旅遊看好：5月份，韓國入出境人次為255萬人次，創下COVID-19疫情爆發以來新高，也是疫情以來首次超過250萬人次；這個數據發生在5月淡季，亦即暑期旺季可能再創新高。

3. 日本仍為最重要目的地：比對日本國家旅遊局(JNTO)數據，可以發現5月赴日本的韓國人數為52萬人次，為今年最高，約為2019年同期的86%。目前看來，韓國仍然是入境日本的最大出發地，比排名第二的台灣(30萬人次)高73%，佔整體外國人訪日市場份額的27%，較4月的24%略有上升。

The Korea Tourism Organization recently announced the number of outbound and inbound tourists in Korea for May. Amidst a new high in the total number of outbound and inbound tourists since the pandemic, three major trends have emerged: more outbound tourists than inbound tourists, a positive outlook for summer travel, and Japan remaining the most important destination. Haize Capital summarizes the main points as follows:

1. Outbound exceed inbound: In May, the number of outbound travelers was 1.68 million, a 12.4% increase from April, approaching the peak levels in January and February (1.78 million and 1.72 million respectively). Meanwhile, the number of inbound travelers was 870,000, representing 52% of outbound, a slight decrease from the previous month (890,000). Among foreign tourists visiting Korea, the top three source countries were Japan, China, and the United States, with 180,000, 120,000, and 100,000 visitors respectively.

2. Positive outlook for summer travel: In May, the combination of outbound and inbound tourists in Korea reached a new high of 2.55 million since the COVID-19. This figure was recorded in May, typically an off-peak period, indicating that the figure may reach a new high during the summer peak season.

3. Japan remains the most important destination: According to the Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO), the number of Koreans visiting Japan in May was 520,000, the highest this year, and about 86% of the same period in 2019. Currently, Korea remains the largest source of foreign visitors to Japan, 73% higher than the second-place Taiwan (300,000), accounting for 27% of the total inbound visitor market in Japan, a slight increase from 24% in April.

한국관광공사는 5월 내외국인 출입국자 수를 발표했다. 코로나19 이후 출입국자수는 최고치를 기록하여 3대 추세가 나타났다. 내국인 출국자수가 외국인 입국자수보다 많고, 여름 여행 전망이 낙관적이며, 일본은 여전히 가장 중요한 관광 목적지이다. 하이저 캐피털은 다음과 같은 몇 가지 관점을 요약했다.

1. 내국인 출국자수가 외국인 입국자수를 초과했다. 5월 내국인 출국자수는 168만명으로 4월보다 12.4% 늘었고 1~2월의 최고 수준(각각 178만명과 172만명)과 근접한 수치다. 이와 함께 입국자수는 87만명으로 출국자수의 52%를 차지해 전월(89만명)보다 약간 줄었다. 방한 외국인수 중 일본, 중국, 미국이 각각 18만명, 12만명, 10만명으로 1∼3위를 차지했다.

3. 일본은 여전히 가장 중요한 목적지이다. 일본정부관광국(JNTO) 통계에 따르면 5월 방일 한국인 수는 52만명으로 올해 가장 많았고 2019년 같은 기간의 약 86%였다. 현재 한국은 여전히 방일 외국인자수 중 최대 출신국으로 2위인 타이완(30만명)보다 73% 늘었고, 일본 입국 관광객 시장 총량의 27%를 차지했고, 4월의 24%보다 약간 증가했다.
