海擇短評 Haize Comment：
日本國家旅遊局(JNTO)局長中山理惠子(Rieko Nakayama)近期披露2023年上半年日本入境游客的復甦趨勢，海擇資本總結重點並給到部分觀點如下：
1. 目前JNTO估算6月訪日外國旅客人數總數超207萬人次，為2019年同期的72%，也是Covid-19以來首次單月突破200萬人次。上半年外國旅客總數已突破1000萬，呈穩步復甦態勢。
2. 從2022年10月起按地區看，與2019年相比，美國和澳大利亞恢復最快，已超過2019年同期，其中近3個月美國訪日遊客為57.0萬人，超過2019年的50.4萬人，推估美國全年會有2,600萬出境旅客，其中有172萬會前往日本；東亞(不含中國)和東南亞已恢復至2019年的90%。
3. 日本政府基於地方振興目標鼓勵旅客前往鄉村，這部分的復甦大量滯後，旅遊以到主要城市居多，其中又以東京的復甦領先於其他地區。我們認為日本政府會針對消費量大、有可能留在農村、有一定規模的細分人群對更有力的補貼與投放。
4, 2023年暑期國際航班運力約恢復至疫情前的60%，從這個角度看，飛往日本的機票仍將供不應求，單價偏貴。
5. 2023年4月至6月，外國旅客赴日旅遊消費總額為1.2兆日元，達2019年同期的95%，人均消費費用估算為20.5萬日元，已提早達到2025年"國家旅遊業振興基本計劃"中20萬日元的目標。我們認為日本政府會更重視旅遊行業獲取外匯的能力。

The Director of the Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO), Rieko Nakayama, recently disclosed the recovery trend of inbound tourists to Japan in the first half of 2023. Haize Capital summarized the key points and gave some views as follows:
1. Currently, JNTO estimates that the total number of foreign visitors to Japan in June exceeded 2.07 million, 72% of the same period in 2019, and for the first time since Covid-19, the single-month figure has exceeded 2 million. The total number of foreign visitors in the first half of the year has exceeded 10 million, showing a steady recovery trend.
2. Starting from October 2022, looking at the source of tourists, compared to 2019, foreign visitors from the US and Australia have recovered the fastest and have surpassed the same period in 2019. In the past three months, the number of American visitors to Japan was 570,000, surpassing the 504,000 in 2019. It is estimated that there will be 26 million outbound tourists from the United States for the entire year, of which 1.72 million will travel to Japan. East Asia (excluding China) and Southeast Asia have recovered to 90% of 2019 levels.
3. The Japanese government encourages visitors to go to rural areas based on local revitalization goals, but recovery in these areas lags significantly, with most travel going to major cities, among which Tokyo's recovery leads other regions. We believe that the Japanese government will target tourists who consume heavily, are likely to stay in rural areas, and have a certain scale, providing stronger subsidies and investments.
4. In the summer of 2023, the capacity of international flights has recovered to about 60% of the pre-pandemic level. From this perspective, tickets to Japan will still be in short supply, with a high unit price.
5. From April to June 2023, the total spending of foreign tourists in Japan reached 1.2 trillion yen, representing 95% of the same period in 2019. The average spending per traveler is estimated to be 205,000 yen, which has already reached the goal of 200,000 yen set in the "National Tourism Industry Revitalization Basic Plan" for 2025 ahead of schedule. We believe that the Japanese government will place more importance on the tourism industry's ability to earn foreign exchange.

최근 일본정부관광국(JNTO)의 Rieko Nakayama국장은 2023년 상반기 일본 입국 관광객의 회복세를 발표했다. 하이저 캐피털은 중점에 대해 총화하고 다음과 같은 몇가지 견해를 제기하였다.
1. 일본정부관광국(JNTO) 통계에 따르면 6월 방일 외국인 관광객 총수는 207만 명을 넘어 2019년 같은 기간의 72%이다. 코로나19 발생 이래 처음으로 200만 명을 넘어섰다. 올해 상반기 외국인 관광객 수는 1,000만 명을 넘어 꾸준히 반등하는 추세다.
2. 2022년 10월부터 관광객 출처를 보면 2019년에 비해 미국과 호주에서 온 외국인 관광객이 가장 빠르게 회복되어 2019년 같은 기간을 넘어섰다. 지난 3개월 동안 방일 미국 관광객 수는 57만 명으로 2019년 50만4,000명을 넘어섰다. 연간 2,600만 명의 미국의 출국 관광객이 있다. 이 중 172만 명이 방일 관광객으로 보인다. 동아시아 (중국 제외) 와 동남아시아는 2019년 수준의 90%를 회복했다.
3. 일본 정부는 지방 관광 진흥의 목표에 기초하여 관광객들이 농촌 지역으로 가는 것을 장려하지만, 이들 지역의 회복은 현저히 뒤처져 있다. 대다수 관광객들이 대도시로 가는데, 그 중 도쿄의 회복은 다른 지역보다 앞선다. 일본 정부는 소비가 크고 농촌 지역에 머물 가능성이 있으며 일정한 규모의 관광객을 대상으로 더 많은 보조금과 투자를 제공할 것이다.
4. 2023년 여름에 국제선 수송력은 이미 코로나19 발생 이전 수준의 60% 정도를 회복했다. 이런 관점에서 볼 때, 일본행 항공권은 여전히 공급이 수요를 따라가지 못할 것이며, 단가가 비교적 높을 것이다.
5. 2023년 4월부터 6월까지 외국인 관광객의 일본 소비 총액은 1조2,000억엔으로 2019년 같은 기간의 95%를 차지한다. 1인당 소비는 20만5,000엔으로 예상돼 '관광입국 추진 기본계획(観光立国推進基本計画)'에서 설정한 2025년까지 20만엔의 목표를 달성했다. 우리는 일본 정부가 관광업의 외화벌이 능력을 더욱 중시할 것이라고 믿는다.
