海擇短評 Haize Comment：
近期美國紅杉資本(Sequoia Capital)旗下的中印公司基於中美互角分拆，而投資是產業發展的先鋒，也能預判國力起伏，因此該里程碑事件受到關注，海擇觀點也報導過一期。近日，美國之外的紅杉資本發展都有了更新，中印兩地原分支機構的募資與投資現況值得對比與關注。
紅杉資本中國的負責人為沈南鵬，原有的紅杉中國繼續會使用"紅杉"中文品牌名，並將英文品牌名更名為"HongShan"。雖然公司將於11月中邀請全球潛在LP赴中國實地考察，並在上海舉辦三天的會議，但考慮紅杉中國在2022年就已為旗下四隻基金募資90億美元，也許並不會馬上成立大額的美元基金；HongShan目前可能更需要募集的是人民幣基金，據稱正在與包括杭州市政府在內的中國潛在LP籌集約200億人民幣的新人民幣基金。值得留意的是，紅杉之前投資的美團、拼多多、抖音與Shein等都是大項目，未來難度必將是在如何保證他能找到具有百億甚至千億美金實力的新項目，當然HongShan估計也會到國際開發新項目，但中印之外的人口基數不高，增長難度可能更大，各地原有的紅杉或許也將變成競爭對手。
紅杉資本印度的負責人為Shailendra Singh，公司名稱已更名為Peak XV Partners，其名來源於喜馬拉雅山脈的最高峰珠穆朗瑪峰(Mount Everest)。紅杉印度在2022年也籌資了28.5 億美元，公司宣稱目前仍有25億美元的投資額度，因此近期沒有募集新基金的計劃。與HongShan最大的差異在於，Peak XV與美國的關係仍屬緊密，第一家辦事處預計將在美國開設，Peak XV也說明特別希望投資美國的AI初創公司。除此之外，估計策略會與其他的紅杉類似，唯Peak XV在印度之外(全球市場)，估計會更聚焦於印度出生的創始人和曾在美國巨頭企業工作的印度裔人群所創立的創業公司。

Sequoia China retains the Chinese brand name "紅杉" and renames the English brand name to "HongShan". Although the company will invite potential global LPs to inspect in China in mid-November and hold a three-day meeting in Shanghai, considering that HongShan had already raised $9 billion for its four funds in 2022, it may not immediately establish a large US dollar fund. Sequoia India raised $2.85 billion in 2022, the company claims to still have an investment quota of $2.5 billion, so there are no plans to raise new funds in the near term.
